Re: Hurricane Irma

I got three paid days off because of the storm, Friday, Monday and Tuesday as I work at a college and our local school system was closed due to the decision of our emergency management officials and the governor of the state.

Re: Hurricane Irma

I'm good here and the whole part of the panhandle (north west Florida).. Joe and his family are good, last check, via text, but he lost power like much of the state did. Re: Hurricane Irma

Listening to Face the Nation this morning, entire hour is on Irma. Our worst nightmare for sure. Here in Panama City, I'm about 15 feet of elevation and just hoping for me the eye doesn't come just west of my house. I would see water in my backyard licking up my porch. For sure Joe, you be safe. Your file indicates a 36.6L kettle, is that correct? Yet you say 27L.

Re: Did I ruin it?

You were totally protected there with the active yeast. No worries at all!

If it's an ale it is probably done or close to it in 14 days.

What is the beer and yeast?

Not sure how/if possible to step-mash with a baby burco?

If this is your first all grain, then try to target for 65° C for 90 minutes, if you feel it's possible then use 65° C for 40 mins., then 72° C for 30 mins., then 78° C for mins.

You're at a login screen. Your PIN doesn't log you in, what should you do?

You see a phone number to call on the page, BUT NOT THE "FORGOT PIN?" button. :headhit:

Fast ferment test and a PP trick

Recently I picked up on something new I have never done until now . I got interested in the low oxygen brewing website and picked up another (cold side tip). Ever since I have been pressure fermenting I have been just letting it ferment all the way it would go, then at FG do the closed transfer to a...

Thanks guys. ;) I got my first lager close to finishing gravity now, finishing up in the serving keg. It's a Weihenstephaner Original (aka Helles) clone. I'll end up posting the details later.

I have about 2 photos of it and one video, found in my signature. The video is from when I used a keggle. If you look carefully the two photos show it drapped over the kettle, I still hang it on the rope after the bag is pulled.

P.S. I was acting the fool in the video, lol
