Re: Low / No Alcohol beer ?

Any ideas how long they ferment the Nanny State for ? The recipie didn't make that clear to me. (Is it even fermented ??)

Great download - well worth 2 seconds of your time.

Can Anyone recommend somewhere in Perth that sells Brewdog Nanny State ? I'd like to try that - downloaded the ebook and reviews seem promi...

Low / No Alcohol beer ?

Any one experienced in brewing a low / no alcohol beer ? I'm 39 and recently diagnosed with heart failure, and have been told by my docs no alcohol for the foreseeable future. Which is a shame as I was enjoying my BIAB endeavors and had a number of successful brews under my belt. So these days I'm d...

First ever brew being tested. I'm well chuffed - this is a cheap and cheerful pale ale that's turned out to be fruity and easy to drink, with 5% ABV.

Thanks Mally ! I've measured my evaporation and KFL across 4 brews so am reasonably happy with those numbers. section G hop sock must have been a typo - I'll double check. I will also use Irish ale yeast. I'll have a play with the sparge v dilution and see what I come up with. One of the other membe...

I'm a mini BIAB brewer with a 15L pot and am getting 9.5-10L into the fermenter. Basically I'm mashing in with 10L strike water, adding around 5 L or thereabouts before the boil to give me a boil volume of about 14L and after Evap (1.3L / hr) and trub losses and regularly ending up with 10L brews. T...

Hi. Im a new brewer and learning the BIABacus... am hoping someone can have a quick look at my numbers. I want to brew a Stout (Guiness clone) this weekend and came across Mally's recipie above. Hi PP. I'm a new Perth brewer, and have to say I'm blown away by the amount of quality information available on this site. I just keep digging and digging, and the depth is amazing. Anyway, in your post above you explain why dilutions cost in terms of ingredients (which makes sense) but that sometim...

Hi Scott, I was also interested in the Robobrew and are absolutely interested in alternatives. Electric was the main attraction to be honest. So would you recommend a 40L Urn as effective solution (electric not gas) ? viewtopic.php?f=24&t=80 James Have you already ordered your RoboBrew yet? If not, ...

Hi and thanks. I do have a question about the BIABacus actually. I'm using small equipment and as such have received the "approaching limits" message with various combinations of VIF and so on. I see on the RHS there is an option to reduce the mash volumes, add water before the boil and so on is. Is...

Hi, I'm a new brewer from Perth, Western Australia. With the help from my local home brew store, last weekend I completed my first brew - a mini BIAB Pale Ale using a 15L K Mart pot that gave me 9L or thereabouts into the fermenter. Im going to try a darker ale / stout this weekend. I came across th...
