Re: If You Are Having Strange Problems Registering or Logging In

Think I had a bit of fuel on board writing that last post :). Finished a 3 week job with very long hours on Friday so, after weekend of sleep and relaxing, I'm back in form now. Simon reckons he's going to have some time late September to help out so that's brilliant :champ:. He can often fix someth...

Re: If You Are Having Strange Problems Registering or Logging In

Does anyone have any insights into the following? There are at least four websites I've come across recently that don't work with Google Chrome when it comes to filling in a form. One of these is even a major Australian government website. Sarah and I, using different IP's and computers, both had th...

At time of writing, I see that the second post of this thread is still blank. I suspect though, that once written, one main aim of this thread is to force us to think logically and carefully before we make a purchase.
Done. Apologies for the delay :peace:

Imagine you just heard that your sister/brother had just bought a good or service that you had already bought and that good/service had failed you. In hindsight, you'll be thinking, "I wish I had told them of my experience," and your sibling will be saying, "I wish I'd asked their advice." Once the ...

Re: If You Are Having Strange Problems Registering or Logging In

Cheers ;). Took a while to find too as some internal links did work . At one stage I even thought it looked like links to threads that contained a post by a user with a missing avatar was the problem. Next problem: Looks like users with gmail, outlook, live etc emails are getting bounced ag...

Re: If You Are Having Strange Problems Registering or Logging In

Fixed. Cause: A bug in an 'extension' to phpBB used to open external links (links that lead to other sites) in a new tab. I've disabled the extension but am pretty sure we had that hard-coded a few months ago so will look for that code so we don't have to use the extension. Thanks again for letting...

Re: If You Are Having Strange Problems Registering or Logging In

Scott, Joel and Mark,

Thanks for your patience on this and for writing. Without your posts, I wouldn't even have had a clue as to what to look for. Crazy stuff as the only thing that logs you out is if you click on an "internal" link within a post. External links are fine.

I'll look into it now.

Thanks Scott and Joel.

I'll deal with this in the If You Are Having Strange Problems Registering or Logging In thread.

Don't click that link though otherwise you'll get logged out! :dunno:

Go there via Active Topics in the Quick Lnks Menu (top left).

Hi Joel and welcome to the board. I just checked your permissions and they seem to be okay. One strange thing with this forum software is, after your first post is approved, you need to log out and then back in for your membership status to change. You are definitely in the right group now so hopefu...

Thanks Scott :salute: Fixed! Forgot to change the cookie domain from one we were using a few weeks ago. Oops! I'll disable that feature as it's not important one. Might fix it for the Gold skin later.

Emails aren't working as yet. Still a bit more research to do on that one

Re: East Fremantle Brew Day - Sun 19th

Todd, I thought I had several defamatory pics but can't find them. Most were of Sarah and she tends to access my computer when I'm not looking. A lot of files go missing though I've noticed; not sure if that is because she uses Apple and accidentally deletes files on my PC or, if she does it on purp...
