A cake rack (about $10 in a commercial cooking store)is perfect for my system,It is the perfect circumference for my pot and keeps the bag off the bottom great, Never have burn't the bag and keep stirring the mash every 15 min.. ;)

4 days ..wow...What temp did u ferment at? I'd leave for another week in the fermenter, It can't hurt..just for the yeast to clean up after itself, and the clarity of the brew should be a whole lot clearer..Rocket

That's the same rate as I get with the same style keggle, only mine still has a 100mm lip all round. As opposed to yours where the entire lid is gone. Interesting! I think the evaporation rate has to to do with the circumference of the the kettle not the height..If thats what u mean..a lip do u mea...

Well done mate, See its not hard at all, I agree with Hashie,Dont be too concerned at this stage, I still get varying degrees of trub and wort depending on the grain that I use(I think) :roll: It doesn't bother me as I have let sometimes more trub into the fermenter than I should have at times, But ...
