Nothing to be embarrassed about Pat. You are on the path of doing something special for brewing (again), and that takes time.

Does the problem appear in all browsers, or just one, even after refreshing the browser (usually with F5 key)? Chrome 4. If just one browser is the problem, what version is it and what device ...

Re: Tinseth formula issues?

I realize there is already a ton of documentation on the inaccuracies of ibu calculations. What I found most interesting is the fact that Glenn used whole hops in his testing and believes that once the hops were covered in the sugars in the wort that hop oil extraction dropped and that pellets are p...

Tinseth formula issues?

I recently listened to most of an experimental homebrewing podcast. The topic was expected ibu's vs measured. I have not listened to the lead up cast but the experiment was to provide listeners with an APA, IPA and IIPA recipe. Listeners brewed these and submitted them for testing. Across the board ...

Re: East Fremantle Brew Day - Sun 19th

I was curious about the long boil time as well. It is my thinking that Belgians use sugar to pump up the gravity and to help ensure a drier finished product.

Re: East Fremantle Brew Day - Sun 19th

I just brewed something along the lines of this.https://brewedbyus.com/recipes
I didn't make a biabacus because I didn't know how to handle the sugars going into the fermenter. I also used goldings only. I brewed a Belgian blonde before hand and racked the golden on top of the yeast cake.

Just a thought after posting in another thread. Is is possible to change the font size or boldness? Replies and signatures are really close to the same. I think the post should stand out a little more than the signature.

Will there be a limit to BPI's a member can give out? They mat possibly have their value reduced if people are giving points to every post they come across.

Try plugging the recipe into a biabacus as best you can with your kettle dimensions and we can help nail down the rest.
