Hmmm... I've bought 3 used Corneys with some questionable welding too. So far I don't *think* this has caused a problem, although I had a drain pour a couple of batches ago but put that down to yeast. There are a lot of used corneys here in NZ that people are using, and as I say some have questionab...

Sorry to hear about your back and job Pat. Like the other guys said keep your mind busy with stuff. A BIAB book actually could take off as I don't think I've seen one anywhere. You could sell it on Amazon Kindle too.
Hope you get better soon.
Cheers, Dom

I've been drinking beer from some of mine about 3 months after and its been OK. If I do a hoppy pale ale though the aroma diminishes over time but I'm guessing the same would happen if I bottled it ?
cheers

There's knowledge that you probably can impart to newcomers right now Streamer. One is cleaning and sanitising is so important! Also fermentation temps :-) These are simple pieces of advice that you find out early on in your brewing journey that are crucial (hopefully not from a ruined batch).
Cheers

This site started me off on the BIAB journey. I initially used Biabacus but then moved to Beersmith. After a few brews with Beersmith I went back to the Biabacus because for some reason it seemed more accurate in volumes and also the hop bills were quite different in both (which put me off a bit). I...

Yeah, it's not as high abv as the original (that's nearly 6% which is a bit high for me). I do like their Quickchange too. Lower abv than supercharger. Not sure of the recipe but they do list the hops on the label so you could do a base apa then use their list of hops as a guide. Cheers

Yeah the London Pride recipe is very similar. Check out the BYO magazine website for the recipe and you should see it there. I have attempted a Timothy Taylors Landlord clone in the past but didn't have too much luck. I'll try it again sometime as it was in my early days of brewing. I was lucky with...

Hi, Yep Panhead are a NZ craft brewer, getting very big here and making in-roads to Aussie I believe. Also Gladfield is a NZ maltster too. The recipe I believe is very close to the original as it was created by a guy who knows the brewer. So - the numbers question : Yes i should have removed the 23 ...

Fullers ESB Clone

Thought it was about time I started some payback. Below is a Fullers ESB clone I've just done. Its just finished fermenting so not had chance to try it yet, but I'll let you know how it goes. Hit the numbers OK so just need to add gelatin and crash and then dry hop - all in time for Xmas hopefully. ...

Interesting Pat. I'm sure it can be done (I'm an Ex-coder myself). I guess the problem is HOW to approach it. Maybe you ask on the site who is interested and has coding skills - I bet there's a few. Then if you use an object oriented type language different people could be responsible for developing...

Hi, funny you should ask.... Well I'm brewing regularly and producing some nice beers. I have 3 fridges now, one of which is a kegerator :-) I have been using beersmith for the past few recipes, however a couple of beers recently finished quite high FG for some reason. Coincidentally they both were ...
