Welcome! Like BB said, swiss voile (white or natural) as found in a fabric store or Walmart. You can certainly find somebody to sew one up with 100% polyester thread. Good luck with your BIAB adventures.

Visit my picture link below for info on my bag design for a US sized beer keg, keggle.

Great pictures Mad_Scientist! Helps a lot. Do you tie your bag in a knot to give the noose something to hold onto? How is your bag design working out for you. I have the material but still need to sew mine up. I thought it was going to require the cinched up rope in the casing as a stop, but the ne...

Good job Bob. You interviewed very well and are quite funny too. Did you every make that BIAB video or are you still looking for a body double? We all like your voice, no problem.

By doing that 5 gallon batch first you will learn a lot of useful information. Don't be bashful squeezing the bag until dry. You can also recover all that good wort in the lines. Have a gallon of prepared water on standby and when you almost about to lose your prime add the water to push it out. You...

In regards to the thread topic - For me the last thing I did for myself was to calibrate my US keggle and my sight glass. I can measure the distance with a measuring tape and calculate the volume at any time and/or I have a black o-ring pre-set on my final volume when it's at the chilled temperature...

I'm making 5 gallon batches in my keggle. With the full water and grains in during the mash the level comes to the middle welded seam (1/2 the capacity). Every works for me. Check out my photos and see if you have any follow-up questions with us.

Quick question in relation to ball valves (if you have one) - Do you guys use a pick up tube or just an elbow piece inside you kettle? I have a pickup tube on mine. It was a 'center' but I flipped it and cut it a little to make it a side pickup tube so my immersion chiller would sit on the bottom. ...

I pressure ferment in a s/s 5 gallon corny. If you don't like the idea of pressure, you can do a regular ferment with a blow off tube. I have some photos of what I've been doing with BIAB and pressure fermenting since May 2011, below...

I can't say enough about having a pulley system. I have 10 BIAB's under my belt, last 2 with a pulley, all of them I suspended the bag over the keggle which is centered under a garage door track. The first 8 I didn't think about squeezing the bag in place, but used a colander. I mash out by lifting ...
